Dalian: According to the feedback from exporters, the export of confectionary grade sunflower seed kernels is gradually recovering, but the bakery grade sunflower seed kernels are mainly affected by Bulgarian sunflower seed kernels, and the export volume is small, mainly for the domestic market. The next October, November, and December are the peak seasons for the export of sunflower seeds.
Exporters are now approaching the end of inventory clearance and are ready to welcome the arrival of new goods. The price of candy-grade sunflower seed kernels is FOB Dalian 1,430 US dollars/ton. The export price of roasted sunflower kernels is US$1,450/ton. The sea freight price will reach 10,000 US dollars in September, and the peak export season will begin in October. The shipping company predicts that there will be no downward trend in sea freight. The export situation remains severe.
