Chinese Sunflower kernel: Exporters wait and hold back their goods

Dalian: According to feedback from exporters, a small number of sunflower kernels produced in Xinjiang were listed this week. The production area reported serious production cuts. The prices are higher than in the same period last year. The current prices are not stable. After a large number of them are listed, the prices are more informative.

Still, due to the reduction in Xinjiang production, the price of Chen grain in Inner Mongolia producing areas has risen slightly. As sunflower seeds in Inner Mongolia will not be available until the beginning of October, some farmers have stopped selling surplus grain and waited for the price increase. Recently, inquiries for new products from exporters have gradually increased, mainly from Germany, the Netherlands, the Middle East, and Southeast Asian markets. Exporters are more cautious about the pre-sale price and wait for half a month. The old crop still dominates this week’s offer.
