Market players informed that fig exports continue at an average pace, but the quantity is slightly behind last year.
The increases in raw material prices continue, and it is stated that quality products suitable for export are decreasing in the market.
Farmers do not have many products left. Market players noted that the interest in the new crop figs is still good, and the requests continue to come.
Exchange rate fluctuations make it difficult to calculate export prices for long-term demands. The Turkish Lira depreciated since last week by approximately 3.5%.
Turkey exported 3.189 mt of dried figs and figs products last week, which was 2.391 mt during the same week of the previous year. The total exports range at 8.971 mt, which was 10.862 mt in total in the same period last year.
