by | May 17, 2021 | Figs

Turkey is the biggest figs producer throughout the World. Both exporters as well as the farmers have a good Season behind and are working with their preparations for the new crop. It is however stated that lack of rain at higher plateaus could affect the quantity of mountain figs, which is assumed to be better quality.  After this period it will be more clear to make estimations about the new crop. The exports of the current crop are almost the same as last year  being 55.659 vd. 57.393 as well as the average export prices being 4140 usd/mt vs.4120 usd/mt for whole dried figs averagely.

The export Season is now coming to the end and the focus will be more on the new crop during the next months.[/swpm_protected]
