This week, export data from Chinese ports showed a further downward trend for organic black kidney beans.
The main export regions were the United States and Southeast Asian markets. In the domestic wholesale markets, commodity turnover was slow, and demand was insufficient to stabilise prices. There is still a supply surplus in the growing regions, but this could change soon due to the decline in the area under organic black kidney beans. As traders know this, they are not willing to sell at a lower price. This week, the price for organic black kidney beans is $1,365 per tonne.
