KUNMING – According to the latest market news, the export price of Yunnan organic large white kidney beans with the specification of 65pcs/100g has dropped to USD 1.800 per ton. Yunnan is the main production area of such beans in China.
Some manufacturers quoted even lower at USD 1.760 per ton for the domestic standard organic large white kidney beans to clear up the inventory. These beans are mainly sold to cannery and food-producing factories. Recently, there is a shortage of export orders. The main inquiries came from food enterprises in the United States, Spain, and Italy.
However, exports are very rare because of the high shipping costs, which increase the total costs for the buyers at very high levels.
