Organic mung beans: Mung bean prices are high, the merchants are cautious in purchasing

DALIAN: At present, the price of domestically produced organic mung beans is on the high side, and exporters’ enthusiasm for purchasing has declined recently. Supported by costs, it is difficult to sell at low prices in the production areas. Merchants in the sales areas are resistant to high prices and are more cautious in purchasing. The trading volume of new organic mung beans is limited, and some merchants purchase low-priced sources of old mung beans. Affected by the impact of imported mung beans, the market demand for domestically produced organic mung beans has been declining.

This year, grain merchants in the producing areas have little intention of processing commercial mung beans. However, the recent arrival of imported ordinary mung beans has led to a slight increase in the price of mung beans in Myanmar. Recently, the prices of mung beans in various regions have been higher. Some grain merchants in the producing areas are worried that the exporters will purchase less in the future, and the arrival of Uzbekistan mung beans, or domestic organic mung beans. The price of domestically produced organic mung beans may have a particular impact, and the purchase is now cautious.
